Islah militants deployed in Lahj districts

LAHJ, Nov. 24 (YPA) – Military tensions  between the UAE-Backed  Southern Transitional  Council (STC) militias and the Islah militants in the areas bordering Taiz and Lahj provinces have escalated .

According to local sources, the two sides continue to build military support to the directorates of Tor al-Bahah, Al Madaribah Ash Shamayatayn, following the development of the al-Islah militants in those areas.

The STC in a statement warned Islah militants of the repercussions of developing  military and intelligence checkpoints in  the directorates of Tor al-Baha and Al Madaribah.

The statement called for the removal of its armed men from those areas.

Al-Islah militants and the STC militias are in a bloody struggle to extend their influence over the areas that overlooking the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
