SANAA, Nov. 17 (YPA) – A wooden cargo ship sank off the coast of Oman on Monday carrying goods and private cars owned by the people of Socotra Island, local reports reported Monday.
According to shipping sources, the wooden cargo ship with more than 30 vehicles on board, as well as various materials and goods, were on its way to Socotra.
The sources attributed the sinking of the ship that left the UAE coast due to its excess cargo, and reached the unauthorized limit, while the crew of the ship of Indian nationality survived the sinking and did not record any drowning or death in the accident.
It is worth noting that since the capture of the island by UAE occupation forces, the people of the archipelago have suffered a suffocating siege in the process of bringing ships to the island, the high transport costs and high prices have increased the suffering of the people and inhabitants of the island.
