Fierce clashes renew in Abyan

ABYAN, Nov. 16 (YPA) – Fierce clashes between the Saudi-led coalition factions broke out on Monday in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan, according to sources to Yemen Press Agency.

The official said the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia offensive operation against the sites of the Saudi- funded Islah Party in al-Torah area of Zinjibar district.

The attack led to the destruction of a number of military vehicles of the two sides, cutting off the main road linking the cities of Aden and al-Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout province.

Meanwhile, the STC militia has transported many of the equipment and weapons of the UAE, including advanced thermal missiles, to the al-Torah front during the past hours.
