SANAA, Nov. 9 (YPA) – 11 Iraqi soldiers and civilians were killed on Sunday evening by grenades and light weapons in Radwaniyah, west of the capital, Baghdad.
Alsumaria News quoted an Iraqi security source as saying: “The Radwaniyah incident is an attack with grenades and light weapons on a security tower for the Iraqi army and the Awakening forces in the Radwaniyah area,” noting that “the final outcome included five soldiers deaths and six civilians.” .
The source added, “The attack was carried out by ISIS, and during the attack, the people came to support the security forces without knowing their whereabouts and knowing the source of the shooting,” stressing that “the security forces arrived at the scene of the accident and the situation is under control.”
It is noteworthy that, in the evening, unknown gunmen opened fire on one of the watchtowers (Sayed Darwish Tower) of the Iraqi army and the Awakening Forces in the Radwaniyah area, west of the capital, Baghdad.
