Demonstration in Baghdad demands departure of US forces
SANAA, Nov. 8 (YPA) – Dozens of citizens demonstrated in the Iraqi capital on Saturday, demanding the removal of US forces from the country and denouncing Washington’s policies towards Baghdad.
The demonstrators carried banners describing the US forces in Iraq as “the occupying forces,” and pictures of the former Iranian Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, and the former deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis.
The demonstrators threatened the US forces with “missiles” unless they left, and wrote: Leave or we will leave you.
