SANAA, Oct. 24 (YPA) – Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, met on Saturday with the country director for Save the Children in Yemen, Xavier Joubert.
At the meeting, the officials discussed a mechanism to coordinate between the council and the organization in all fields.
The meeting touched on the organization’s activities and projects being implemented in Yemen.
Tawoos stressed the importance of reducing the organization’s operating expenses and allocating funds to the needs of the Yemeni people.
He pointed out that the American administration stood behind the reduction of the organization funds, stressing the need to find solutions to keep pace with the humanitarian situation and to seek funding from other donors and partners.
