Sanaa prepares to receive hundreds of freed prisoners

SANAA, Oct. 15 (YPA) – The capital Sanaa on Thursday afternoon to welcome the first batch of freed prisoners under an exchange deal with the Saudi-led aggression forces.

The prisoners’ flights will begin arriving at Sanaa International Airport this afternoon, and liberated prisoners well be received by senior state officials.

 The then the prisoners will be given a hero’s’ welcome in the airport street starting from the roundabout of Al-Dialami Air Base.

 Al Masirah TV network will broadcast live on the proceedings of the reception of prisoners throughout the day.

 Earlier on Thursday, The Chairman of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs Abdul Qadir al-Mortadha confirmed that the prisoner exchange deal will be implemented on schedule today and tomorrow “October 15th and 16th” as decreed, after resolving the problem that occurred two days ago.

 The Sanaa and Riyadh delegations signed the executive plan of the agreement on the first phase of the prisoner exchange in Montreux, on the outskirts of Geneva on September 27th.

 The prisoners of the two sides will be transferred from Riyadh and Marib to Sanaa and vice versa by aircraft simultaneously under the auspices of the United Nations and the International Red Cross, while on the 16th of October the prisoners of the two sides will be transferred from Aden to Sanaa and vice versa.

 The agreement included the release of 681 prisoners of the army and popular committees, while 400 from the other party, including 15 Saudis and 4 Sudanese.

Oman announced on Wednesday that it had brokered the release of two of the so-called US nationals. They ( Two Americans) will be transported to Oman on a Royal Oman Air Force flight” in preparation for their return to America.
