Chinese president intends to strengthen ties with North Korea

SANAA, Oct. 10 (YPA) – North Korean state media on Saturday quoted Chinese President Xi Jinping as saying that he intends to deepen ties with Pyongyang.
“We intend to successfully defend, consolidate and develop the Sino-Korean relations with the Korean comrades,” the official North Korean Central News Agency quoted Xi as saying in a message of congratulations to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of the ruling party in North Korea.
Saturday marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the ruling Korean Workers’ Party, and the events are expected to include a large military parade that may include some long-range North Korean ballistic missiles.
