India is preparing to deploy supersonic missile

SANAA, Oct. 8 (YPA) – India is preparing to deploy the new hypersonic missile “Shaurya”.
The Hindustan Times, citing a senior official, said the Indian government had agreed to test and deploy the hypersonic Shaurya missile.
The launch is scheduled for mid-October.
The new weapon is a ground-based version of the BA-05, submarine-launched missile developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization.

With a range of 700 km, the missile is able to reach a speed of Mach 7 at an altitude of 50 km.It hits the target target at a speed of Mach 4, and the warhead weighs about 160 kg.

The missile will be deployed at locations designated by the Indian Strategic Forces Command.

The post also indicates that the Nirbhay cruise missile will be tested at sound speed and in operation in the Indian Army and Navy in the next two weeks with a range of 800 km.
As a senior source explained, the testing and deployment of short-range missiles means that India does not intend to be inferior to China in the border conflict in northeast Ladakh.
