Militia leader of STC assassinated in Abyan

ABYAN, Oct. 3 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen assassinated on Saturday a field leader of the Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias backed by the United Arab Emirates in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

A local source said that unidentified gunmen shot at Salim Jaafar Al-Maremi, commander of a military point of the STC, while he was sitting in front of Al-Hussein Medical Clinic in Al-Khadira area in Ludar city, killing him on the spot.

Al-Maremi had participated in raiding a number of houses, kidnapping and torturing of citizens, during the STC’s control over Mudiya and Al-Wadei districts in Abyan.

YPA
