Coalition’s recruits fight each other in Marib

MARIB, Sep. 28 (YPA) – The city of Marib, southeast Yemen, witnessed on Monday violent clashes between Saudi-led coalition forces’ recruits in Al-Alam area, north of the city.

According to local sources in Marib, the coalition forces are suffering from a state of confusion in their ranks, as a result of the army forces and popular committees approaching Al-Alam Al-Abiyadh, Al-Alam Al-Aswad and Al-Ruwik areas.

The sources indicated that recruits from ‘Al Aoushan’ fought with others from ‘Al Zanim’ in the Al-Alam area, which led to deaths and injuries on both sides, most notably the killing of the leader Salem bin Ali Zanim.

The coalition forces suffer large disagreements among their military leadership in the Al-Alam front, which led to the withdrawal of some of the coalition’s recruits, amid mutual accusations of negligence and causing severe defeats to the coalition forces in the Al-Alam area north of the city of Marib, the sources explained.

The sources confirmed that clashes are still continuing between the two sides until this writing.
