STC militias kill, injure 5 citizens of northern provinces

ADEN, Sep. 26 (YPA) – A traveler of the northern provinces was killed and four others were injured on Saturday due to the explosion of a grenade thrown by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia at the eastern entrance to Aden city, southern Yemen.

Informed sources said that STC’s militia elements threw the hand grenade on dozens of travelers from northern citizens at Al-Alam checkpoint after they were unloaded from cars and buses heading towards Aden.

The STC elements continued to threaten the detainees not to move from their place, and in the midst of their threats, one of the militiamen threw a grenade in his possession at the traveling youths, killing one and wounding four others with shrapnel from the bomb, the sources added.

The UAE-funded STC militia in Aden practices arbitrary measures against travelers of the northern provinces. They stop the northern travelers and force them to take a sub-road to Lahj governorate, along Taiz province, even if they were heading to another northern province.
