SANAA, Sept. 26 (YPA) – The president in charge of forming the Lebanese government, Mustafa Adib, on Saturday, apologized to President Michel Aoun for forming it.
In a brief speech from the presidential palace in Baabda, Adeeb said: “I apologize to the Lebanese people, and the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron must continue because it expresses the sincere intention of France,” he said.
On August 31, Aoun assigned Adib to form a government that succeeds its predecessor, headed by Hassan Diab, who resigned on the tenth of the same month, six days after a catastrophic explosion in the port of the capital, Beirut.
