SANAA, Sept. 20 (YPA) – Emirati experts expected that the tourism movement would revive between the Israeli occupation entity and the UAE after the normalization of relations between the two sides.
The Hebrew economic newspaper “Klist” quoted Emirati experts as saying that their country estimates the number of tourists coming from the UAE to “Israel” at about 750,000 tourists annually.
They expected that the preparations for the start of tourism between the two countries would take between 3 to 4 months until the tourism movement begins to realize its potential.
The newspaper stated that most of the Emirati tourists would undertake a religious tourism related to “Islamic holy sites in al-Quds.”
The newspaper added, “The Christian population in the Emirates will benefit from direct flights to visit the Christian holy sites in al-Quds and Nazareth in the Galilee, and another share of the tourists will be part of business tourism.”
According to the newspaper, the “luxury” Ras Al Khaimah Hotel provides a new attraction for holidays, and the “Waldorf Astoria” Hotel offers those who book a vacation in its luxurious suites the experience of flying sports.
The Israeli company “El” announced that it would operate its commercial flights to the Emirates in mid-September, while the Israeli airline “Israir” said that it had booked a place on the flight schedule to operate flights from “Tel Aviv” to the Emirates In preparation for the possibility of starting the tourism movement as the two sides move forward towards normalizing relations, starting next October.
On August 13, Israel and the UAE announced that they had reached an agreement for full normalization between them under American auspices.
This announcement was followed by accelerated steps to sign cooperation agreements between the two sides in more than one area, before the agreement was signed on September 15th.
