SANAA, Sept. 20 (YPA) – The commander of the naval forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Brigadier General Ali Reza Tengsiri, announced that the UAE sought to bring the Israeli enemy to the Arab Gulf region, and this would cause harm to it.
He said, “The Gulf states should not make a foothold for Israel in the region, because that will cause harm to them … Israel’s coming to the Gulf region will not be in the interest of the Gulf countries and will constitute a threat to Iran.”
This came in an interview conducted by ISNA news agency with Brigadier General Tengsiri, in which he stressed that “Iran will not initiate any war, but we will not fear it if it takes place, and we will respond firmly to any threat affecting any point from Iran.”
He said, “We will cut off the hand of anyone who transgresses Iran’s interests, sanctities, revolution and honor … if the war breaks out, we will bring the enemies out corpses from the Strait of Hormuz,” adding: “The Gulf is our home,” and the American army is in the wrong area.
He noted that the Iranian speedboats constitute a “nightmare” for the Americans in the Gulf waters. Stressing that “our forces have different types of missiles that cover the Gulf waters and beyond the Gulf waters.”
Commander of the Iranian Navy, Brigadier General Ali Tengsiri, continued: “Our forces are able to close the Strait of Hormuz in any war if requested to do so .. Iran becomes more prepared whenever the enemy’s threats intensify.”
He explained that “the Gulf region should be free of foreign presence, and Iran can conduct joint maneuvers with the Gulf countries.” Noting that Iran is ready for friendship with the Gulf states.
Brigadier General Ali Reza Tengsiri said: “We extend the hand of friendship and brotherhood to the Gulf countries and tell them that we are the sons of the region, and the strangers will eventually leave, and they will abandon you after your wealth is plundered.”
In response to a question about Iranian weapons, the commander of the naval forces of the Revolutionary Guards stressed, at the conclusion of his interview with ISNA, that his country is seeking to export weapons abroad after the embargo is lifted.
