SANAA, Sept. 2 (YPA) – Pakistan condemned the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo’s decision to re-publish cartoons that insult the Prophet Muhammad.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said that such a deliberate act to offend the feelings of billions of Muslims cannot be justified as an exercise of freedom of the press or freedom of expression, considering that these actions undermine global aspirations for peaceful coexistence as well as social harmony between religions.
The French newspaper had reprinted the offensive cartoons with the start of the trial of those accused of carrying out the attack on its headquarters in the capital, Paris, in the year two thousand and fifteen.
