Mayor of capital directs closure of amusement park in Sanaa

SANAA, Aug. 27 (YPA) – The mayor of Sanaa capital, Hamood Obad directed on Wednesday to close the city of games and amusement parks, al-Sabbain private park, and referring its administration for investigation, when the game train derailed and fell, which led to the injury of a number of visitors who were on board.

During his visit to the park, he directed the formation of a technical and administrative committee, which includes the concerned authorities, to investigate about the accident and evaluate the percentage of availability of safety and security requirements, periodic maintenance procedures and ensure the safety of all games.

He emphasized that the private playground would not be opened in al-Sabaain until after all security, safety and technical maintenance requirements and procedures were completed in it.

He also stressed on the Public Gardens Administration in the Municipality should not tolerate the violators, despise the lives of citizens, and take strict measures against any violator.
