SANAA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected on Wednesday unstable weather accompanied by uneven rainfall in a number of Yemeni governorates, within the next 24 hours.
The center its weather forecast that the rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, would fall on large areas of the mountainous heights and southwestern highlands of the country.
It stated that the rains would extend to the southern coasts of the governorates of Aden and Lahj and the east to the interior plateaus of Hadramout and west to the Tihama Plain, as well as parts of the western coast and desert areas.
According to the center, it affirmed severe monsoons would continue to the east of the Gulf of Aden and the Socotra archipelago, and to disturb the sea of the archipelago and parts of the eastern and southern coasts.
The center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to stay away in the streams of torrential rains and valleys, calling to take the necessary precautions against rock landslides and the decrease in the horizontal visibility, especially on the mountainous roads.
