SANAA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – Late on Tuesday night, Turkish warplanes penetrated Iraqi airspace and carried out airstrikes that resulted in civilian casualties in Sinjar district, west of the center of Nineveh province, in northern Iraq, The Iraqi Security Media Cell reported.
The Iraqi Security Media Cell said in a statement, that Turkish drone aircraft hit Iraqi airspace, targeting a pickup car in the Khansour compound in the northern district of Sinjar district, killing two civilians.
The driver of the car survived the shelling, the cell added. At the same time, a site was bombed in the village of Bara in the same district, while the number of victims was not known.
Ambulances rushed to the scene to evacuate the dead and wounded, the security media cell said. More details will be announced later, according to the Security Media Cell in Iraq.
