Britain calls on “Houthis” to stop their military operation in Marib

MARIB, Aug. 25 (YPA) – British ambassador to coalition-backed government in Yemen, Michel Aron, has called for an end to the military operation led by the Yemeni army and popular committees to cleanse Marib province of terrorist elements and coalition forces.

The “Houthis” must stop their attack on Marib now,” Michael Aron said in a series of tweets.

In another tweet, Aron revealed British support for the Islah militias.

The move came during a phone call with “Sultan al-Aradah, in which al-Aradah complain about the continual of military operation carried out by the army and popular committees in Marib province.

The British ambassador confirmed to him that that the United Kingdom strongly condemns these military operations in Marib.

The Government of Sanaa had earlier condemned the British intervention in support of terrorist elements and the provision of various weapons to coalition states.
