Aden witnesses military tension between leaders of STC militia

ADEN, Aug. 11 (YPA) – The port city of Aden, southern Yemen, witnessed Tuesday a military tension between leaders of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) funded by the UAE, according to local sources.

The sources pointed out that gunmen loyal to commander of the so-called “Fourth Region” Fadl Hassan on Monday kidnapped son of police director of al-Taqniyah area Ali al-Jaradi.

In turn, gunmen loyal to al-Jaradi held a military armored vehicle belonging to guards of Fadl Hassan, which led to a state of military tension in the al-Taqniyah area and Enmaa city, the sources added.

The sources reported that the exchange of detentions between the two sides is still in dispute, amid mediation failure to reach solutions.

The city of Aden has been witnessing a state of security chaos, amid the spread of militia loyal to Saudi-led coalition in the city, since the second half of 2015.
