PM, UN official discuss several humanitarian issues

SANAA, Aug. 11 (YPA) – Prime Minister Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtour discussed on Tuesday with the UN official a number of issues related to the humanitarian aspects and detaining oil derivative ships by the Saudi-led aggression coalition, in a flagrant of violation of international and humanitarian laws.

The move came during his meeting with the UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande.

At the meeting, bin Habtour affirmed that removing Saudi Arabia from the list of the violators of children’s rights is a shameful stain against the United Nations and the international community and a green light for the aggressors to continue committing the daily massacres against Yemeni children and women.

The officials, during the meeting, touched on the Safir floating oil reservoir, which contains about one and a half million tons of oil derivatives, which threatens an environmental disaster in the Red Sea.

The meeting dealt with the damages caused by the floods as a result of heavy rain during the past days and the United Nations’ role and UNESCO to support the concerned authorities to protect the old city of Sanaa and other historical cities, especially the cities of Zabid and Shibam Hadramout from the damages of the floods.
