BAYDA, Aug. 10 (YPA) – The Yemeni army liberated on Monday strategic sites that were under the control of the so-called Al-Qaeda militants in Bayda province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The army forces managed to advance towards the village of Hama Sarar in Qaifa district, which includes the village of Yakla, the most important stronghold of the terrorist organization in the governorate.
The sources pointed out that the advance of the army and the popular committees came hours after imposing their complete control over the strategic Mount Nofan in Qaifa front.
Al-Qaeda militants fled those areas as a result of massive collapses in their ranks, the sources confirmed.
