Death toll of Beirut Port explosion rises to 158 dead

BEIRUT, Aug. 8 (YPA) – The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced Saturday that the death toll of the Beirut port explosion, which occurred last Tuesday, has risen to 158, in addition to more than 6,000 others wounded.

The Lebanese National News Agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement Tuesday that the calls coming to its hotline revealed that the remaining number of missing persons is 21.

On Friday, the Lebanese Minister of Public Health Hamad Hassan announced that the number of victims of the explosion that occurred in the Beirut port had risen to 154, in addition to thousands of wounded.
