SANAA, Aug. 8 (YPA) – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) tried to kill a former intelligence chief in Canada, an Italian daily newspaper reported.
The newspaper “La Repubblica” in its Friday edition confirmed that, two weeks after the killing of opposition journalist Jamal Khashoggi, sent another death squad to kill former intelligence general Saad al-Jabri, the right arm of his cousin, deposed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef.
The newspaper indicted that MBS summoned a gang organized by intelligence officers and doctors and traveled with regular tourist visas, to carry out the mission.
It said the plan failed as border police at Ottawa airport prevented them and were sent back home.
According to CNN, the plan was well known to US intelligence, which warned the former general of the danger, and the allegations have already been supported by some members of the US Congress, said New Jersey Rep. Tom Malinowski, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
CNN said a complaint was filed in Washington, D.C. court by Al-Jabri himself, according to the prince who wanted him dead because of his close ties to the US intelligence and his deep knowledge of the secrets of the ruling family.
As evidence, al-Jabri attached a series of WhatsApp messages from the prince himself, where he was first invited to return to Saudi Arabia, where his two children, 22-year-old Omar and 20-year-old Sara, are being held hostage and in their home.
He said: MBS threatened him saying that he will take action against you.
