Torrents sweep away agricultural land in Sanaa province

SANAA, July 29 (YPA) – The torrents resulting from the heavy rains swept away most agricultural lands in Mahnon area of al-Tayal district in Sanaa province on Wednesday.

A local source explained that the torrents flowing from Bani Saham mountains swept away the agricultural lands in the Mahnon area and its environs.

The source pointed to the damage in “Yaman” dam, which was previously filled, which led to the displacement of the population from the course of the dam.

He stressed the importance of a speedy intervention to find remedies for the dam to preserve the remaining agricultural lands.
