YPC extends important call to Yemeni expatriates abroad

SANAA, July 28 (YPA) – The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC)’s Executive Director Ammar al-Adhra’i on Tuesday called on the expatriate Yemenis in various countries of the world to stand by their people and hold vigils to demand the entry of fuel ships to Hodeidah port.

The call comes within the framework of the company’s efforts to convey a real and clear message to the world about the suffering of the Yemeni people due to the continuation of Saudi-led aggression coalition in preventing the entry of oil derivatives ships to Hodeidah port despite obtaining official licenses from the United Nations, al-Adhra’i said in a statement.

Al-Adhra’i pointed out that the depletion of oil derivatives from the company’s storage, especially diesel, means that the various vital sectors would stop providing their services during the coming days.

The health sector has also become threatened with stoppage, which forewarns a humanitarian catastrophe in the event that the aggression coalition countries continue holding oil derivatives ships and preventing them from entering the port of Hodeidah, he added.

The YPC has implemented approximately 430 vigils in front of the United Nations Office in Sanaa, and organized an open sit-in that lasted for nearly 400 days in the hope that the United Nations would respond and carry out its humanitarian duties, but to no avail.
