Islah kidnaps military leaders of “35th Brigade” in Taiz

TAIZ, July 21 (YPA) – Militants of Islah Party on Tuesday kidnapped a number of military leaders loyal to the UAE in the “35th Armored Brigade”, in south of Taiz province.

Local sources in the province confirmed that gunmen affiliated with the leading member of Islah party Abdo Numan al-Zuraiqi arrested chief of staff of the 35th Brigade Abdulmalik al-Ahdal, and other staff officers of the brigade, at al-Nakhla point of the Islah, outside the city of al-Turba, the center of al-Shamayatain district.

The kidnapping of the military leaders of the “35th Brigade” came after they were summoned by the pro-coalition governor, Nabil Shamsan to meet the command of the “Fourth Brigade”, after they exited the al-Turba city.

On the other hand, clashes erupted between the Islah militants and the 35th Brigade forces in the outskirts of the city of al-Turba, after the Islah attempted to take control of a military site of the 35th Brigade overlooking the city.
