Pro-coalition commander killed in Abayn

ABYAN, June 28 (YPA) – A commander loyal to the Saudi-led aggression coalition were killed on Sunday in Yemen’s province of Abyan after the Saudi failure to ceasefire, according to sources.

The sources affirmed that the so-called leader of the first battalion in the “Brigade 30” Ahmed Abd Rabu Hadij, affiliated with the Saudi-backed Islah Party, was killed in an armed ambush planted by the Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias backed by the UAE in al-Mahfad district of Abyan.

The move came after the great efforts and attempts by Saudi Arabia to ceasefire between the two sides.

The sources added that The STC militias and Islah militants exchange accusations of violating the so-called “Saudi truce” for a cease-fire in Abyan governorate.

Meanwhile, observers said the Saudi efforts and its claim has not succeeded in the ceasefire between Islah militants and the STC.
