GFC organizes cycling race in Sanaa for Al-Sammad’s Cup

SANAA, May 10 (YPA) – The General Federation of Cycling (GFC) on Thursday organized in the capital Sanaa a cycling race for the cup of the martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad under the slogan ” A hand builds and another protects.”

One thousand of cyclists from different age groups participated in the competition, which was held in Al-Sabeen Square and attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Hassan Zaid.

Organizing such event near the tomb of the martyr President Al-Sammad is a message to the world, in forefront of which are US-backed Saudi-led coalition countries, that every Yemeni is Saleh Al-Sammad, said Abdullah al-Wazir, deputy director of the Education office in the capital Sanaa.

Head of the Federation, Mohammed Al-Aidarous, noted to the importance of organizing such events despite the conditions of war led by Saudi-led coalition in Yemen and all-out siege imposed on the country.
