Military commander loyal to Hadi dies due to Coronavirus

ADEN, June 9 (YPA) – A prominent commander loyal to Hadi government forces died Tuesday after contracting the new Coronavirus, Yemeni sources said on Teusday.

According to the sources, the commander of the Special Forces Brigade in coalition-backed government forces, Brigadier General Mohammed al-Hajouri, died due to COVID-19.

Hadi’s special forces are stationed at the Haradh axis on the border with Saudi Arabia, one of the sources explained.

As of Monday evening, the total number of cases of the new coronavirus Covid-19 has risen to (496) cases, including (112) deaths and (23) cases of recoveries, according to health authorities in the Hadi government.
