SHABWA, June 8 (YPA) – Tribes of Shabwa province on Monday demanded the removal of all the military units affiliated with Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) that came from outside the province.
This came in a statement issued by a meeting of the Shabwa tribes held Monday in al-Watta area on the main road between the provincial city of Ataq and Nessab district, against the background of the murder of a member of the so-called “Shabwani Elite Force” loyal to the UAE occupation, Talal Farid Mohammed Husain Ariq al-Diwali, last month to demand the handover of the killers affiliated with Islah party.
The tribes demanded that Shabwa be approved as an independent military region and be separated from Marib, as well as changing security and military leaders and holding them accountable for the crimes they committed against the Shabwa people.
The statement stressed the need to achieve Shabwa’s administrative and security sovereignty, the independence of economic resources in the province, and the speedy completion of the priority of employment for the people of the province away from the exclusivity of Islah in the public job.
The statement accused the “Islah Party” of following the policy of exclusion and isolation by decisions and appointments, and sending sons of Shabwa into the absurd wars the party is fighting in Abyan province.
