Tens of families displaced due to floods in Mahra
MAHRA, June 1 (YPA) – Tens of families were displaced on Monday due to fear that the floods will reach their homes in Mahra province.
The disaster coordinator of the Yemen Red Crescent, Waael Kareem warned from floods because the districts started to witness heavy rains.
Kareem said that 31 families were displaced in Shihen district and 61 others were displaced from al-Ghaidha district.
The displacement of families came as a precaution for fear of the floods arriving, he added.
Families were displaced to schools, while others took refuge in the homes of their relatives in safe areas.
