Worldwide coronavirus deaths exceed 370,000

SANAA, June 1 (YPA) – The number of deaths from the new coronavirus has exceeded 370,261 worldwide since it appeared last December, according to an AFP reports based on official sources as of Sunday evening.

More than 6,113,340 infections have been officially recorded in 196 countries and regions since the outbreak began, while the number of recoveries reached 2,852,761.

Since Saturday’s census update at 19:00 GMT, there have been 3,666 additional deaths and 123,415 new infections worldwide.

The countries with the highest number of deaths in this specific period were recorded in Brazil 956, the United States 698 and Mexico 364.

The United States recorded the first death of Coved-19 in early February and it is the country most affected by the number of deaths and infections with 106,125 deaths out of 1833,420 cases, and at least 416,461 people recovered.

After the United States, the United Kingdom is one of the countries most affected by the epidemic with 38,489 deaths out of 274,762, followed by Italy with 33,415 deaths from 233,019 infections, Brazil with 28,834 deaths from 498,444 infections, and France with 288,802 deaths from 188,882.
