Libyan National Army shoots down three Turkish drones

SANAA, May 31 (YPA) – The Libyan National Army (LNA), led by Field-Marshal Khalifa Haftar announced on Saturday that three Turkish drones were shot down near the city of Bani Walid, about 180 km southwest of the capital Tripoli.

The Libyan forces’ war information division said in a statement on Facebook that air defences shot down three Turkish drones.

It added that the air defences targeted a Turkish drone in the early hours of Saturday morning and managed to shoot it down near the city of Bani Walid.

The  statement noted that two aircraft that attempted to raid civilian positions in Bani Walid were also targeted during the last hours of Saturday evening, and air defences were able to shoot them down.
