Data published by Johns Hopkins University showed that the Coruna epidemic has claimed the lives of 2,751 people in the United States within 24 hours, bringing the total death toll from the epidemic there to 44,845 deaths.
In turn, the number of confirmed cases of the virus in the United States exceeded 820 thousand, after it recorded in the past 24 hours about 40 thousand new infections.
The death toll recorded on Tuesday is huge compared to that recorded one day ago, as the daily death toll on Monday evening was 1,433.
