Yemen army repels 5 coalition’s mercenaries attacks
SANAA, April 19 (YPA) – The Army spokesman, Yahya Sarie said that the army forces repelled on Friday five attacks of coalition-backed mercenaries in provinces of Jawf, Marib and Jizan.
Sarie said in a series of tweets that the army and the popular committees repelled two attacks of mercenaries towards Sarwah district in Marib, pointing out that the first attack continued from Thursday midnight until Friday morning and was broken and the destruction of 4 armored vehicles with guided missiles and the other continued from At Friday noon to sunset.
Sarie said that the army and the committees repelled third attack on Khub-Wshaaf district in Jawf, and two attacks in the border area of Malahit off Jizan, which also lasted from noon to sunset with air support of the aggression aircraft, in addition to thwarting an infiltration attempt in Majaza off Asir.
He pointed out that these infiltration attempts were addressed by the army and the people’s committees, the destruction of a number of armored vehicles and the fall of dozens of dead and wounded in the ranks of the enemy and forcing them to retreat and break down and no progress was made.
