Saudi-led coalition brings in terrorist elements to fight in Marib

MARIB, April 15 (YPA) – Informed sources in Marib province on Wednesday revealed the arrival of new batch of members of the so-called Al-Qaeda and ISIS organizations in the city of Marib to fight in ranks of Saudi-led coalition forces.

The sources confirmed that military transport vehicles carrying “al-Qaeda” and “ISIS” militants arrived at night on Tuesday and Wednesday in the city of Marib coming from Abyan and Shabwa provinces and Radaa district of Bayda province.

The arrival of al-Qaeda and ISIS militants came two days after the arrival of another batch in the city, the sources added.

Ali bin Mohsin Salah, one of officers of the so-called General Staff in Hadi’s government, said Wednesday, in a post on Facebook, that he saw military vehicles carrying fighters in black clothes while passing by military points of the coalition forces In Marib, without stopping at those checkpoints.

Salah added that when he asked why those vehicles were not inspected and allowed to enter the city without permission, the point personnel told him that they are fighters from “Ansar Al-Aqeedah” group and came to defend Marib city and restore Jawf province and Nehim district, as he said.

This is not the first time that elements of these organizations have been brought in to fight with the coalition forces in Marib. On March 25, activists circulated a video clip showing members of al-Qaeda and ISIS training in a camp in the city of Marib, under the supervision of Khalid al-Arrada, brother of Marib governor in Hadi’s government.
