France coronavirus death toll exceeds 15,000

SANAA, April 15 (YPA) – France reported 762 new death cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of victims to 15,729, the French Ministry of Health said Tuesday.

The number of people infected of coronavirus has also risen to 103,573.

However, the number of people infected with the virus in intensive care rooms fell for the sixth day and dropped from 6,821 on Monday to 6,730 today.

France became the fourth country in the world to exceed the 15,000 mark of coronavirus deaths, after the United States, Italy and Spain.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday announced the extension of quarantine measures until May 11th, admitting some failures in managing the Corona crisis.
