Army spokesman: Yemeni forces repel three infiltration attempts in Marib and Bayda provinces
SANAA, April 15 (YPA) – The Yemeni army spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e on Wednesday said that the Yemeni army and the Popular Committees have repelled three infiltration attempts carried out by Saudi-led coalition forces in the fronts of Bayda and Marib provinces.
“Our forces were able to counter three infiltration attempts, two were launched towards our forces’ sites in Sirwah and Majzar districts of Marib province, and the other on our forces ’ sites in Ganiya district in Bayda province,” Sare’e said in a statement.
The enemy forces suffered heavy losses and dozens of dead and wounded, without achieving any progress, the spokesman added.
Yahya Sare’e pointed out that the coalition aircraft launched 26 airstrikes, 18 of them were waged on Sirwah and Majzar districts of Marib, six hit Khub Washaef district in Jawf province and two airstrikes on Saada and Bayda province.
