Astronomer warns of orbital groove affecting Yemen for week

SANAA, April 11 (YPA) – A Yemeni astronomer and international expert in astrophysics has warned of an orbital groove affecting Yemen this week.

The astronomer Adnan Al-Shawafi predicted in a warning statement, which Yemen Press Agency obtained a copy of, that the Arabian Peninsula would be affected by an orbital groove from the southwest to the northeast, mediating two low pressure centers, bringing heavy rains.

Al-Shawafi indicated that Yemen entered under the influence of the situation from Saturday, April 11, which would last until Friday, April 17, with a gradual rise in the rate of rainfall of varying intensity on the southwestern and northern mountainous highlands and the nearby mountain basins, as well as the eastern coasts.
