Salafi leader “al-Hajori” installs checkpoint in Marib, tribes stand up to him

SANAA, March 29 (YPA) – Al-Sayyad Bani Saif tribes in Juba district of Marib province have prevented the erection of security points belonging to the Salafi sheikh Yahya al-Hajori, tribal sources reported on Saturday.

Members of al-Sayyad Bani Saif tribes confronted al-Hajori’s militants and prevented them from establishing any military points in the area, according to the sources.

Al-Sayyad tribes directed warnings to Salafi militants and threatened them with using weapons if they come again to install checkpoints, the sources added.

It is noteworthy that a number of Salafi groups and al-Qaeda terrorist elements are taking Marib as refuge, with the support and financing of the Yemeni Islah Party that uses them to fight on the fronts of fighting in the province.
