Hadi’s chief of staff refers senior military leaders to prosecution

MARIB, March 24 (YPA) – Hadi’s chief of staff, Saghir bin Aziz, backed by the United Arab Emirates, directed military prosecutor in Marib city to open files to prosecute military leaders loyal to Islah party (Yemeni branch of Muslim Brotherhood), informed sources reported

According to the sources, Bin Aziz’s orders to the military prosecution came against the background of successive defeats suffered by these leaders in the fronts of Jawf, Marib and Nihm.

The sources indicated that the referred to the prosecution include Brigadier General Anwar al-Shamiri, liaison officer for coalition operations, deputy chief of operations for the sixth region, Brigadier Tawfiq Shaya, commander of support groups in Jawf, Brigadier Abdo al-Mekhlafi, commander of the 22nd Brigade, and a number of  officers, including wounded.

This comes as part of Bin Aziz’s new moves to control Hadi’s forces, with various brigades and camps, and control over military decision under Emirati directives and support, and strip the Brotherhood’s leaders of authority.
