Islah forces damage armoured vehicles in fierce clashes in Aden

ADEN, March 23 (YPA) –  Clashes broke out Sunday between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia and militants loyal to the Al-Islah party in the southern port city of Aden, sources said.

According to eyewitnesses in the city, armed clashes between STC militias and armed elements led by Imam al-Nawbi, near the Aqabat Aden linking the al-Mualla- Craiter districts were also reported.

The witnesses added that the gunmen of imam al-Nawbi had damaged military pickup vehicles belonging to the STC Militia, which were being pulled towards the Aqabat Aden.

On Saturday, al-Islah militants, backed by Saudi forces, imposed their control over Camp 20 and the capture Craiter district which was under control the STC Militias.
