BAYDA, JAWF, May 3 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Thursday inflicted heavy losses on Saudi-backed militias in fronts of Bayda and Jawf province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
In Jawf province, the army forces repelled an infiltration of the militias in al-Ajasher desert, which resulted in several dead and wounded in the militias’ ranks, as well as destroying a military vehicle laded with militiamen.
In Bayda province, the army fighters waged an offensive against positions of the Saudi-led coalition troops in Qaniya area in Natea district, killing and injuring dozens of the coalition-backed militiamen.
On Wednesday, the military media revealed the death of Saleh Abdullah al-Hajbei, who is loyal to the coalition in Bayda province, in an ambush set by the Yemeni army in al-Habj front.
