Tawoos discusses plans to enhance humanitarian action with UN

SANAA, March 16 (YPA) – Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, discuss on Monday a number of the important steps and plans to enhance the humanitarian action with the UN official in Yemen.

The move came during his meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, Lise Grande.

At the meeting, Tawoos affirmed the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs’ keenness to provide all facilities for the humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen.

The Secretary General of the Council stressed on the importance of coordination to find channels of agreement to enhance the effective partnership with UN humanitarian organizations, in order to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of by the Saudi-led aggression coalition and the siege imposed on Yemen.

Meanwhile, Lise Grande stressed the need to continue in the meetings and work together serve the Yemeni people and to overcome problems and difficulties that face the two sides.
