World Health Organization declares Corona virus global epidemic

SANAA, March 12 (YPA) – The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom, said on Wednesday that the Coruna virus can be classified as a global pandemic.
The director of global health added that the organization believes that the outbreak of the Corona virus is a pandemic.

“We are very concerned about the levels of prevalence and the levels of not taking (the necessary) measures, so we have come to an assessment that Covid-19 (Corona virus) can be classified as an epidemic,” he told a news conference.

According to “Reuters”, the director of the World Health Organization said the number of cases outside China had increased by 13 times in the past two weeks.
