PM stresses on Investment Authority’s role in enhancing investment environment

SANAA, March 9 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Monday emphasized the important role of the General Authority for Investment during this period in enhancing the investment environment and working to facilitate the investment activities to serve the national economy.

This came during the prime minister’s meeting with Chairman of the General Authority for Investment Khalid Sharaf al-Din, who briefed him on the Authority’s activities and efforts to develop the investment environment.

The meeting dealt with the outcomes of the contractors conference held last January in Sanaa and the most prominent recommendations of the conference.

In this regard, Dr. bin Habtoor instructed the Authority to submit a report on the contractors conference and the recommendations resulting from it to the Cabinet for discussion and taking decisions about them.

The meeting also touched on the problems faced by a number of investment projects and the Authority’s role in addressing them in coordination with the relevant authorities.
