UN accuses coalition of obstructing peace process in Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, March 9 (YPA) – The head of United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA) General Abhijit Guha expressed his concern about the air strikes of Saudi-led coalition’s warplanes that targeted al-Salif area in Hodeidah province on Sunday morning.

Guha said in a statement on Monday that “Any air attack endangers the implementation of the agreement”.

“The air strikes which targeted al-Salif in Hodeidah province obstructing the peace process and threatening the implementation of Sweden agreement”, he added.

General Guha urged the parties to continue engaging in work in good faith.

The statement confirmed the mission’s commitment to support all parties to implement the agreement.
