Damascus controls over strategic city in Idlib

SANAA, March 3 (YPA) – The Syrian Arab army units on Tuesday were able to retake over Saraqib city of Idlib province, according to Syrian media.

The Syrian army’s control over the city came after fierce attack against Turkish-backed militants in the province despite of heavy air cover by Turkish fighter jets to back its militants.

These developments came after a military escalation by militants backed by Turkey that seeks to resort through the its armed factions in Idlib Governorate, which failed to advance towards the Syrian Arab Army’s positions.
